Luka Doncic was the top performer in the Dallas Mavericks’ win over the Boston Celtics in Game 4 of the NBA Finals.
The Texas team triumphed convincingly by 122:84, and the Slovenian star led his team with 29 points, along with 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Despite this win, the Boston Celtics did not capitalize on their first match point, maintaining their 3-1 series lead. Although no team has ever come back from a 3-0 deficit, Luka Doncic still believes in his team.
“This changes nothing. Like I said at the beginning of the series, it’s just the first of four wins needed. We will keep believing until the end. We’re moving forward. I have great belief in this team that we can succeed. We just have to keep believing,” Dončić said.
He then addressed criticism following the first three games, where media scrutiny focused on his interactions with referees and frequent complaints:
“My coach hasn’t said anything to me. That says enough about him. He always protects and supports his teammates. It’s good for the team to have such a coach.”
Game 5 will be played on the night between Monday and Tuesday, starting at 2:30 AM, with the Boston Celtics hosting as they lead the series 3-1.
