Luka Doncic once again was the hero in the Dallas Mavericks’ victory, this time against the Minnesota Timberwolves by 105:108.
The excitement of this duel is best illustrated by one statistic: there were 14 lead changes, and the game was tied seven times before the winner was decided.
Entering the decisive fourth quarter, the Minnesota Timberwolves led 84:82. They managed to extend their lead to five points when Luka Doncic took charge. On his shoulders, the visitors went on a 15:0 run, taking a 97:89 lead. Anthony Edwards and his teammates responded with a 13:1 run to gain a 102:98 advantage.
When it seemed like the Dallas Mavericks might falter psychologically, Luka Doncic stepped up again, scoring five of the next eight points (including a three-pointer from P.J. Washington) for an 8:0 mini run and a lead that was enough for the road win and victory.
Doncic scored 33 points, with eight assists and six rebounds. Notably, he scored 19 points in the second half, including 15 in the final quarter, making him the key player in this crucial win. Kyrie Irving was also excellent with 30 points, five rebounds, and four assists.
On the other side, Jaden McDaniels stood out with 24 points, Anthony Edwards scored 19 (6/16 from the field), and Karl-Anthony Towns finished with 16 points.
The next game is scheduled for Friday night into Saturday, starting at 2:30 AM. The host will once again be the team from Minneapolis.
