Maccabi Tel Aviv played another excellent game and defeated Hapoel Jerusalem at home in Israeli Premier League by 90:78.
It’s a fantastic form for Maccabi at the moment. Oded Katash’s team has secured their ninth consecutive victory in all competitions, confirming their good form ahead of crucial challenges. The first quarter was very tight with strong defenses from both sides. However, Maccabi imposed their rhythm with a faster pace in the second quarter, taking a seven-point lead by halftime, which was their maximum at that point.
Hapoel tried to make a comeback in the third quarter, primarily relying on solid defense to close the gap. However, with a late surge in the final two minutes, Maccabi managed to extend their lead to five points entering the decisive quarter. They performed exceptionally well there and ultimately secured a convincing victory, with a 12-point lead on the scoreboard.
John DiBartolomeo led the winning team with 19 points, while Wade Baldwin contributed 17. On the other side, Levi Randolph scored 18 points.
Currently, Maccabi sits at second place with 13 wins and three losses, while the team from Jerusalem shares the sixth spot with a record of 9-8.
