Maccabi Tel Aviv will play its EuroLeague matches as the host in Belgrade, confirmed by the “Pride of Israel.”
The Israeli club will play its matches in the capital of Serbia for as long as the war continues in their country, with no end in sight at the moment.
This decision was made today during a meeting in Turkey, where the “Aleksandar Nikolić” arena was declared the new (temporary) home of Maccabi Tel Aviv.
Maccabi Tel Aviv will play their first home game on November 9th when they “host” Bayern.
The Serbian government and the city of Belgrade have supported the idea of the “Pride of Israel” being the host at the “Aleksandar Nikolić” arena and will work in the coming period to fully address the safety concerns for the players and coaching staff of the mentioned club.
