The winner of a gold medal with the German national team at the FIBA World Cup spent his entire career in his home country before joining Milan.

In the past season, the German averaged 11.6 points and 2.8 assists per game in the EuroLeague. In the Bundesliga, his performance was slightly lower with 9.5 points per game.
Milan begins the season in the elite competition in Istanbul, where they face Fenerbahce (Friday, 19:45 local time).
