Marius Grigonis compared the atmosphere in Lithuania and Greece (Zalgirio Arena / OAKA Arena) in an interview for SDNA.
Marius Grigonis commented on Panathinaikos’ win against Barcelona in EuroLeague Round 31.
“We were 12 points behind [at halftime], but the difference was not significant. In basketball, you can make a turnaround within 3-4 minutes in the game. He [Ergin Ataman] told us to keep playing and be more aggressive on both sides of the floor. And in the end, that was the key.”
Grigonis commented on the differences between the atmosphere in Lithuania and Greece.
“It’s a little different energy. In Lithuania, there is no such influence. Here, there are more chants and more people. It’s a different kind of energy. People love basketball, support the team, and show it to us. It would be great to get a home-court advantage in the playoffs, and it would also give us a chance to enjoy this atmosphere even more.”
