Maroussi broke a two-game losing streak in the 11th round of the Greek Basket League by defeating Kolossos 85-74 at home.
Maroussi secured their fourth win of the season on their home court, leveling with today’s opponent on the league table. The crucial part of the match was the second quarter, during which the visitors scored only nine points, while the home team excelled in offense, adding 27 points. They went into halftime with a significant lead of 43:25.
Although the guests performed much better in the second half, the gap from the first 20 minutes proved insurmountable, and the hosts secured a crucial victory.
Charis Giannopoulos led the winning team with 25 points, Isaiah Briscoe contributed 20, and Miroslav Raduljica finished the game with seven points and three rebounds. On the other side, Andrew Goudelock scored 19 points, while Luka Brajkovic and Shittu Oluwasimisola each added 11 points.
PAOK secured a home victory against the bottom-placed team in the league, Karditsa, with a score of 72:69. Despite being at the bottom of the standings, the guests put up a strong resistance, threatening their opponent in the final quarter, but PAOK secured their sixth win of the season.
Andrew Harrison led the scoring for the Thessaloniki team with 20 points, while Justin Alston added 12. Athanasios Danovasilis led the guests with 18 points, and Vladimir Jankovic contributed 12.
Lavrio surprised Aris with a 91:86 victory at home after overtime, securing their fourth win of the season. David DeJulius led his team to victory with 25 points, and Khalid Moore had an excellent performance with 20 points and 12 rebounds. Roberto Gallinat scored 25 points for Aris.
