Mateusz Ponitka shared his impressions after the preseason game at Tasmajdan, where Partizan defeated Fuenlabrada with a score of 93-63.
The black and white team played their first game in front of the home crowd since the ABA League finals. In the match against “fraternal” Fuenlabrada, they continued their excellent performance and secured their fourth victory in the preseason period. After the game, Mateusz Ponitka spoke to “Partizan TV.”
“This is incredible. We prepared for the outdoor game. It was a great experience for both teams, and I’m familiar with the history of the relationship between Partizan and Fuenlabrada. It was nice that many fans came and cheered loudly for us.”
Partizan played three of its four matches outdoors.
“We played three games outdoors. The next match will be ‘normal’ because it will be played indoors. We will compete in the ABA Super Cup. It will be a big challenge for us and an opportunity to win important matches at the beginning of the season,” concluded the Polish international.
During the summer, Ponitka joined Partizan’s ranks. In the previous seasons, he played for Panathinaikos, which had its share of disappointments. The Polish player has been busy in recent times, leading his national team in the Olympic Games pre-qualifying tournament.
As a reminder, Poland defeated Bosnia and Herzegovina in the final, securing their spot in the Olympic Games qualifiers next year.
