Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul has expanded its roster with the signing of young talent Yigit Hamza Mestoglu, as announced by the club on Monday.
Mestoglu, standing at 2.03 meters and 19 years old, comes from La Roda in the Spanish third division, where he showcased his skills with 8.7 points and an impressive 45.2% three-point shooting, in addition to contributing 3.8 rebounds and 1.1 assists.
Having spent the past four years in Spain, Mestoglu initially joined UCAM Murcia’s second team at the age of 15, progressing through lower divisions. He also made appearances with the first team in a couple of Spanish League games.

Mestoglu’s basketball journey began with Banvit Bandirma, and he has been representing Turkey in various youth categories since 2019. His accomplishments include aiding Turkey in securing a silver medal at the U18 European Championship last summer.
For the upcoming season, Mestoglu is anticipated to primarily play for Fenerbahce’s second division team, while also being part of head coach Dimitris Itoudis’s first team roster.
