Monaco’s basketball player, Mike James, expressed extreme dissatisfaction after the game against Panathinaikos in the EuroLeague’s 21st round.
Mike James returned to the OAKA Arena, where he played for the ‘Greens‘ during a period in his career, but it ended ingloriously.
Ergin Ataman’s team outplayed the rival by a whopping 25 points, and the ‘Princes’ guard finished the game with 11 points, shooting 4/15 from the field.
“I’m sick of disrespect. I’ve been in this league for 10 years. Suddenly, I can’t get a single foul. I get a technical foul every game because you’re messing around. I work on my game during the summer. Work on yours too,” James wrote on social media ‘X,’ but he quickly deleted the post.
James is currently one of the best players in the elite competition and a key player for Monaco. This season, he averages 19.5 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 5.2 assists.
His shooting percentages are also impressive – 48.5% for two-pointers and 44.4% for three-pointers.
Despite these individual performances, Monaco holds a record of 11-10, falling short of their Final Four appearance in the previous EuroLeague season.
They will have the opportunity to improve their impression from Athens in the upcoming round against Real Madrid. The matchup will take place on their home court in Fontviell.
