Jaden McDaniels, Minnesota Timberwolves player, addressed the media after his team’s win over the Dallas Mavericks in Game 4.
Jaden McDaniels scored 10 points in his team’s win, which narrowed the series to 3-1. He played outstanding defense on Kyrie Irving, limiting him to 16 points and shooting 6/18 from the field.
“We knew that after Game 1 we could win or in Game 2 we [should’ve won]. I’d say the only game that they really beat us was the last game [Game 3]. Like the rest of them were close and it was like our mistakes have let us lose,” McDaniels told Joe Schmit of KSTPSports following the Timberwolves.
“Yeah, we could probably run off three more now,” McDaniels chimed in, responding to Schmit’s inquiry about whether securing a win and avoiding a sweep against the Mavericks would boost morale for the Timberwolves.
The main detail of the game is that the Timberwolves rotated defenders on Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic. Anthony Edwards was assigned to guard Luka Doncic in Game 4, while Jaden McDaniels took on Kyrie Irving. This proved to be a winning combination in this game, and we’ll see if the Mavericks can adjust for the next game.
The Dallas Mavericks currently hold a commanding 3-1 lead in the NBA Eastern Conference Finals series. Game 5 is scheduled for Friday at 2:30 AM.
