Misko Raznatovic spoke at length to representatives of Greek media about the “Yam Madar” case and the termination of his collaboration with Partizan.
For context, the Israeli basketball player terminated his contract with Partizan, utilizing a clause in the contract that granted him this option. The leadership of the Belgrade team tried to provide a more detailed explanation of the situation, but in any case, Yam Madar left the Serbian capital and signed with Fenerbahce.
Misko Raznatovic said in an extensive interview with Greek media about the “Yam Madar” case and the termination of his collaboration with Partizan:
“All of this is part of the business. When Vassilis Spanoulis went to Olympiacos, they told me the boundary for me was the Hilton Hotel, and I didn’t go beyond that for five years. They told me they knew my face and that it was dangerous. Other agents don’t deal with this.
In Serbia, if you bring in a foreign player, and he plays poorly, they just say he was a bad player. If I represent him, they say it’s my fault because I brought in a bad player. That’s probably part of my success, and I have to live with it,” Misko Raznatovic said to the Greek “Sportal” and continued:
“I don’t want to talk too much about Partizan because whatever I say will hurt them more than anything else. It’s the management’s fault for everything. Especially Zoran Savic. The interview with the president, with whom I have a very good relationship, came out a few days ago. The only thing that’s true is that my name is Misko Raznatovic. Everything else is wrong and incorrect because he received the wrong information. I have no problem with that. What’s bitter is that this team had a history before this administration.”
More abouts transfers in Partizan
“All the agents in the world together haven’t done 10% of what I have done. Nikola Pekovic wanted to go to Hemofarm, and he finally went there. They received a significant buyout. Joffrey Lauvergne and Leo Westermann had never heard of them. I took them there. A significant number of Red Star players went there. Then I experienced the opposite; all the Red Star fans hated me because I took players there. I did it because it was good for them. Dusko Vujosevic was there; players were developing and playing in the EuroLeague. Even if everything they say about Madar is true, which it isn’t, it’s precisely the opposite.
They shouldn’t react like this because it’s not even 10% of what I’ve done for them in the past. Also, a few years ago, when the new administration and president came in, they had Andrea Trinchieri as a coach and were in a terrible situation because they had money but couldn’t find players during the season.
I made an effort and brought in four players mid-season, Alex Renfroe, Rade Zagorac, Nikola Jankovic, and Ognjen Jaramaz. Four players under contract with teams from the Endesa League. I found a way for all four of them to get out of their contracts and come to Partizan to start a new era. Unfortunately, they obviously have a short memory,” concluded Misko Raznatovic.
