Monaco suffered their second consecutive defeat at home in Round 28 of the LNB Pro A, with Nancy emerging win by 100:84.
After being outplayed by Saint Quentin in the previous round, Monaco once again left the court as the defeated team. It’s worth mentioning that Kemba Walker, Alpha Diallo, and Elie Okobo did not participate in the game.
At one point in the second quarter, Monaco held an eight-point lead and seemed to have everything under control. The halftime score was 53:50 in favor of the Monaco. However, Nancy proved to be a tough opponent as they staged a comeback in the second half, taking a double-digit lead early in the final period, paving the way for their win.
Chris Clemons led the winning team with 27 points, along with seven assists and six rebounds. Clement Frisch also had a very good game, contributing 19 points. On the losing side, John Brown stood out with 15 points. Mike James had another poor shooting performance, despite being the team’s second-leading scorer with 12 points and eight assists, hitting only four shots out of 14 attempts from the field.
Monaco remains comfortably at the top of the table with a record of 24-4. Their closest pursuer is Paris, who has three fewer wins and three more losses. With a record of 13-15, Nancy has entered the playoff race with this victory. Saint Quentin, currently in eighth place, has one more win than Nancy.
