Bosko Radovic’s team continued their strong play in the second half, reaching a 26-point lead at one point. By the end of the third quarter, Iran managed to slightly reduce the deficit, closing the gap to 18 points. In the final ten minutes, Montenegro maintained their lead, wrapping up the game without any trouble.
Nikola Vucevic led Montenegro to victory with 19 points and 14 rebounds, while Mohammad Amini and Matin Aghajampour led Iran with 14 points each.
In the upcoming FIBA World Cup, Bosko Radovic team will be placed in Group D, facing Lithuania, Mexico, and Egypt.
Iran is placed in Group G, where their opponents in the battle for the second round will be Spain, Ivory Coast, and Brazil.
