The head coach of Montenegro’s national basketball team, Bosko Radovic, has unveiled the 12 players who will represent the country in the upcoming FIBA World Cup.
Staying true to their squad, Radovic confirmed Emir Hadzibegovic as part of the team, who will join the following players on their journey to Manila tonight: Nikola Ivanovic, Kendrick Perry, Igor Drobnjak, Petar Popovic, Vladimir Mihailovic, Andrija Slavkovic, Dino Radoncic, Aleksa Ilic, Nemanja Radovic, Marko Simonovic, and the team’s stalwarts, Nikola Vucevic and Bojan Dubljevic.
Montenegro, placed in Group D for the World Cup, will compete against Mexico, Egypt, and Lithuania. Should they advance (the top two teams progress), they might face the challenge of the United States in the next phase.
“We are heading there to prove that our presence at the World Cup is no coincidence and to represent our country properly. I believe we have a strong team with exceptional players and individuals. Moreover, the atmosphere is outstanding, which is crucial for our performance,” said Bojan Dubljević, expressing the team’s determination.
