Moses Wright is the newest addition to Olympiacos, with the American center arriving in Piraeus from the Turkish team Merkezefendi.
He began his career at the University of Georgia Tech, played for the Agua Caliente Clippers, and had stints with NBA teams such as the Los Angeles Clippers and Dallas Mavericks. He also played in China before coming to Greece from nearby Turkey.
The towering center has joined Olympiacos and signed a contract for a year and a half, lasting until June of the following year.
In just five games in the Turkish Super League, Moses Wright averaged 26.4 points and 8.4 rebounds with a PIR of 27.4. He had an excellent field goal percentage of 62.5% for two-point shots.
The move by Olympiacos is not surprising. Nikola Milutinov will miss two months of action, and Moustapha Fall could return only in two weeks.
As a reminder, the Serbian center will undergo surgery. He got injured in a rather unusual way during the big derby against Panathinaikos when he awkwardly stepped on his teammate’s foot while returning to his own half.
