Moustapha Fall spoke to “Eurohoops” about the new additions to Olympiacos, their goals, and their rival, Panathinaikos.
The French center made history last night, recording a triple-double against PAOK, and he spoke modestly about his role on the team.
“I just want to do my job well. I want to do everything the coach instructs me to and play my best defensively. If that’s how I need to play, I have no problem with it,” began the towering center.
He then commented on some of Olympiacos’ new additions, starting with Serbian center Nikola Milutinov and Luka Sikma. He compared Sikma to a player who went to the NBA this summer.
“He’s a very good center. We will have more consistency in that position throughout the 40 minutes of the game. He will be great for us. Sikma is a strong guy, more physically inclined than, for example, Sasha Vezenkov. He will be our so-called ‘glue guy,'” he added.
About team successes
“We will do everything necessary to be successful. Many things need to go your way to win the EuroLeague. Last year, we had the same mentality. It doesn’t matter who we play against. We will always play in the same way, and most importantly, we are disciplined,” concluded Moustapha Fall.
