The NBA All-Star weekend in Indianapolis had a spectacular night, and the traditional three-point shooting and dunk contests were the highlights.
Mac McClung successfully defended his title in the most exciting event – the dunk contest. He secured the victory after his final dunk, where he jumped over Shaquille O’Neal.
Mac McClung, a member of the Orlando Magic, defeated Jaylen Brown in the final and became the first player since Zach LaVine to defend the title.
“Never say never. It’s an honor to be here,” McClung said when asked if he would participate again next season.
As for the three-point shooting contest, Damian Lillard successfully defended his title. The Milwaukee Bucks guard clinched the victory after a thrilling finish, thanks to a shot on his final attempt, which edged out Trae Young from the Atlanta Hawks.
Lillard scored 26 points in the final round, two more than Young, becoming the first player since Jason Kapono to defend the title of the best three-point shooter at the NBA All-Star weekend.
