Nemanja Nedovic, in an interview with “Eurohoops,” discussed his collaboration with Dusko Ivanovic and refuted some events within the Crvena Zvezda team.
There has been much talk about the working methods of the experienced coach. Information was circulated that individuals had filed complaints with the Players’ Union due to the overly strenuous and lengthy training sessions, but Nemanja Nedovic revealed the whole truth about it.
“Dusko is an old-school coach, no doubt about it. He is a coach from the old Yugoslav basketball school. He is strict and demands discipline, but it’s not insanity. I remember when he signed with Crvena Zvezda, many players expressed their opinions, but things were not like that. We didn’t have three, four, or five-hour practices. Never. We always had days off.
We worked hard, but always in a good and proper sense. Some players can adapt to his discipline, some cannot. Personally, I am proud because I succeeded in that, especially when this season started. We had a good relationship, I played good basketball, and I was sad when he left. But, it’s a job, and the decision was made by the club, we have to respect that,” said Nemanja Nedovic.
