Estonia surprise Lithuania
Estonia provided perhaps the surprise of the day by defeating Lithuania with a score of 65-59. The game saw few points, and the audience in Tallinn had reason to celebrate. It was tense, but Mike Kotsar was decisive as he grabbed a rebound from which the Estonians scored to go up by four.
The Lithuanians lacked the strength to mount a comeback, and Estonia will celebrate Janari Jooesara, who scored 18 points, while Baskonia player Kotsar had a double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds. Edgaras Ulanovas stood out with 15 points on the other side.
Denmark almost secured another sensational victory but faltered in Espoo. They had a double-digit lead and control of the match, but the hosts made a furious comeback in the third quarter. In the overtime, Laasii Tuovi’s team showed more concentration. Iffe Lundberg shone with 26 points, six rebounds, and as many assists. Mikael Jantunen led Finland to victory with 19 points.
