Reports indicate that Mike Conley is questionable for Sunday’s matchup with a right hamstring strain. Conley was questionable for Game 2 with the same injury, however, he did play through it, finishing with 18 points, five rebounds, and five assists. Additionally, the Timberwolves point guard missed Game 5 against the Denver Nuggets due to his hamstring.
Mike Conley may need some rest in case his hamstring doesn’t heal up in time for Game 3. But from the sounds of it, it’s a difficult injury to control, according to Rohan Bhaunt of Essentially Sports. The veteran point guard described what it’s like dealing with this nagging injury.
The Timberwolves will monitor Mike Conley closely over the weekend. If there are no setbacks then we should see Conley play in Game 3. But there is no guarantee right now.
Reminder, Dallas Mavericks lead 2-0 in the series, and game three will be played in Texas on Monday at 2 AM.
