The New Orleans Pelicans, under the leadership of GM David Griffin, have expressed keen interest in acquiring Cleveland Cavaliers center Jarrett Allen.
However, reports indicate that despite their efforts, the Cleveland Cavaliers remain adamant about retaining Jarrett Allen.
Christian Clark of NOLA.com revealed the Pelicans’ “significant interest” in Jarrett Allen but noted their inability to secure his services. This interest from the New Orleans Pelicans doesn’t come as a surprise, given Allen’s impressive performances and contributions on the court.
Allen’s ability to consistently deliver double-doubles without requiring significant offensive plays makes him a coveted asset. Even setting franchise records for consecutive double-doubles underscores his value to the Cleveland Cavaliers. In the past season, he achieved career-high averages of 16.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per game while boasting an impressive 63 percent shooting accuracy.
