Jamal Murray, a player of the Denver Nuggets, could be facing suspension for throwing a heat pack onto the court during game 2 against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
After the Minnesota Timberwolves made another break in Colorado and took a 2-0 lead in the series, the Denver Nuggets could face new problems. Jamal Murray was frustrated by a referee’s decision at one point and in anger threw a heat pack onto the court.
Chris Davis, the head of the refereeing crew, has also spoken out, saying: “For an ejection, it needs to be determined that the object was thrown towards someone as opposed to just being thrown out of frustration.”
Brian Windhorst from ESPN also spoke about this situation.
“I wouldn’t be surprised if Jamal Murray gets suspended,” said Windhorst.
The Minnesota Timberwolves lead the series 2-0, and the next game will be played overnight between Friday and Saturday. The host will be the team from Minneapolis.
