The Italian point guard, Nico Mannion, is no longer a player for the Spanish team Baskonia, as announced by the club led by coach Dusko Ivanovic.
Nico Mannion joined the Spanish team last summer, and, as stated, the contract has been mutually terminated.
Since his arrival in Spain last summer, Mannion has struggled to assert himself and earn more substantial playing time. Especially following the appointment of coach Dusko Ivanovic, his position in the team’s rotations has significantly diminished.
Mannion will join the Italian team Pallacanestro Varese.
In eight EuroLeague games this season, Mannion has averaged 6.0 points, 1.3 rebounds, and 2.3 assists. Before Baskonia, he wore the jersey of Virtus for two seasons. In addition to Virtus, he has previously played for the Golden State Warriors and their affiliate, the Santa Cruz Warriors.
