Fenerbahce’s Nigel Hayes-Davis spoke about the recent quarterfinal series against Monaco in the EuroLeague.
Nigel Hayes-Davis, with the “Canaries,” managed to become the first team to win in the decisive game on the opponent’s court, thus qualifying for the Final Four. However, he didn’t have the kindest words about their recent opponent.
“Monaco is a good team, but a significant part of their tactics is based on dirty play. That’s low-character basketball,” emphasized Hayes-Davis in an interview with Basketnews.
Monaco guard Jordan Loyd quickly responded to Fenerbahce’s wing player.
“If playing equally aggressively is considered dirty, then I guess so. We didn’t complain about any situation in the series, even though we lost. In fact, we did the opposite. Going to the media and complaining like that reflects a low character,” wrote Loyd.
Monaco, therefore, ended their playoff run, while Fenerbahce will face Panathinaikos in the Final Four. The other pair consists of Olympiacos and Real Madrid.
