Nikola Jankovic is returning to a familiar jersey after several years during which he changed clubs both in the ABA League and abroad,. He has once again signed with Mega, where he arguably delivered some of his best performances in his career.
Nikola Jankovic was one of the standout players in the 2015/2016 season, which can be characterized as one of the most successful in the club’s history. During that season, Mega’s young team won the Radivoj Korac Cup and reached the finals of the ABA League playoffs. The Serbian center is making his third return to the “small big club.”
After that historic season, he headed to Ljubljana, where he played for Cedevita Olimpija. It was in the jersey of the Slovenian team that he achieved a career milestone. He became the MVP of the regular season in the ABA League, averaging 16.6 points, 7.2 rebounds, and just over one assist per game.
Following a year in Slovenia, he played for the Turkish team Sakarya before making a move to the Endesa League. Nikola Jankovic also spent a year with Estudiantes before making a return to familiar territory ahead of the 2018/2019 season. He donned the jersey of Belgrade’s Partizan. He spent two and a half seasons in black and white.
Afterward, he once again played for Mega, spent half a season with Breogan, and his last stint was with FMP. In Zeleznik, he played 22 games, averaging 7.2 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game.
