LeBron James made history as the first player in NBA history to surpass the 40,000-point mark, but he won’t be celebrating the win.
Nikola Jokic tried to spoil the party in Los Angeles right from the first quarter, scoring 12 points. He slowed down a bit afterward, not scoring any baskets until midway through the third quarter, but then came another offensive explosion from the Serbian center that significantly helped his team.
In the final quarter, Jamal Murray was in great form and helped the Colorado team secure a victory against their big rivals. The final score was 124-114, marking the eighth consecutive win for Mike Malone’s team against the Lakers.
Nikola Jokic had 35 points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists. Jamal Murray contributed 24 points, 11 rebounds, and six assists. Michael Porter Jr. was also instrumental with one more point scored. On the other side, LeBron James scored 26 points, while Austin Reaves closely followed with 19 points and 14 assists.
Bogdan Bogdanovic was another Serbian representative on the NBA court last night. He scored 13 points in a loss to the Brooklyn Nets, where Miles Bridges was unstoppable, scoring 38 points and driving the New York based team to a 114-102 victory.
