Nikola Jovic shared his thoughts after the defeat to the German national team in the FIBA World Cup final with a score of 83:77.
Serbia was defeated in the World Cup final, and Jovic expressed his emotions and thoughts after the game.
“We wanted to win, but somehow we emptied ourselves, both emotionally and physically, and that’s it,” said the Miami Heat player, tears in his eyes.
“It means everything to me; I’m very happy. It means more to me that I will become a better person with them than becoming a better player,” Nikola Jovic concluded, tears in his eyes.
The young player had a successful tournament, averaging 10.1 points, 3 rebounds, and 2.6 assists in his debut at the World Cup.
Serbia won its first medal since 2014, and once again, it was silver. Next year, Jovic will likely be in contention for one of the 12 players who will travel to Paris.
