Nikola Vucevic spoke to “Eurohoops” about the Olympic Games, as well as the Chicago Bulls and his work ethic.
Thanks to a good FIBA World Cup performance, Montenegro will compete in the Olympic Games qualifiers in Paris. It won’t be easy against Latvia, Brazil, and even Georgia, but the experienced center doesn’t plan to miss out on this opportunity.
“That is certainly the plan. We have never played in the Olympic tournament, and it’s my dream to play in the Olympic Games, so this is an opportunity for us to achieve that. If everything goes well, and if I stay healthy, I definitely plan to be there. We hope to first advance through the group stage, and then take it one game at a time. You never know what might happen,” said Nikola Vucevic.
He then commented on the Chicago Bulls and their rollercoaster NBA season:
“It’s been pretty good, with ups and downs. The start was so-so, but as the year progressed, it got better. The team played better, and I did too. We are satisfied so far, but there is room for improvement. We are trying to continue playing well and help the team win.
The most important thing is that we’ve recently started playing better as a team, catching up with other teams in the standings, and we hope to keep progressing. Currently, we are in the play-in, so the goal is at least to stay there, maybe, hopefully, get to the top six, we’ll see, but we take it game by game.”
