Oded Kattash spoke after the Euroleague Round 27 game between Alba Berlin and Maccabi Tel Aviv, sharing his thoughts.
Maccabi Tel Aviv achieved a triumph with a score of 106-71. In his post-game statement, Oded Kattash analyzed the events on the court.
“We didn’t know what to expect from the team after the break. The team has been together for less than 48 hours after the international break. It was a very important win, this was a high-tempo game. It was difficult to maintain intensity, but defensively, we looked good most of the time. Offensively, we played in transition, had a lot of assists, and made good decisions.”
The Maccabi Tel Aviv coach commented on the opponent.
“I have a lot of respect for Israel Gonzalez. They were missing some players in both games against us. We capitalized on our chances and had good ball movement. We shot well both times against them. We couldn’t have expected to achieve such a result. I have to say once again that the situation is tough for us.
We miss our home court, our people, and it’s never easy. Some games were even canceled, our schedule is grueling. I must commend the club for how it’s dealing with the whole situation. We’ve built something special, we’ve become a family. We’ve been through a lot of tougher things. I would love to return home because if that happens, it means good things are happening, not just for basketball in Israel,” Kattash said.
