Oded Kattash, the head coach of Maccabi Tel Aviv, spoke after his team’s win against Panatathinaikos in the EuroLeague Game 3.
Despite his team having an 18-point lead at one point, they managed to put themselves in an uncomfortable situation of trailing during the final minute. However, they achieved a crucial win by 85:83 for a 2-1 series lead, and all that without the injured Wade Baldwin.
“It was a crazy finish. They controlled things in the last quarter. They imposed their rhythm and hit some crazy shots. Panathinaikos is a very quality team, they have great players, but I think we deserved the win.
We came out focused and aggressive, finding ways to score in different ways, and that’s the essence of our system. We adapted well, and that’s it. Special congratulations to the players,” said Oded Kattash.
With an emphasis on the team system of Maccabi Tel Aviv, it seems that the coach of the “Pride of Israel” subtly highlighted the excellent game of his team in the absence of one of the best players in the EuroLeague this season – Wade Baldwin.
The Game 4 between Panathinaikos and Maccabi Tel Aviv will be played on Thursday at 8:45 PM.
