Serbian coach Aleksandar Dzikic is no longer the head coach of Hapoel Jerusalem, officially announced by the Israeli club.
Dzikic, as stated, had to change his environment due to the security situation in Israel, where there is a state of war due to the conflict with Palestine. For this reason, all Israeli clubs have been relocated from the country, playing their home games away.
It is evident that this has changed the great plans of Hapoel Jerusalem, which entered this season with high ambitions, a new owner, and a desire to climb the ladder of European basketball year after year.
Dzikic led the team for a year and a half, achieving significant success. Under his guidance, the team won the Super Cup and the Israeli national cup, and last season, they reached the final of the FIBA Champions League.
“We wish you luck in the next chapter of your career. Jerusalem will always be your home,” states the emotional club statement.
