Serbian basketball player Miroslav Raduljica has chosen his next career destination, and it has been officially confirmed.
After a period with Crvena Zvezda, Raduljica will now be playing for the Greek team Maroussi, a former EuroLeague participant.
Before him, the same team had also officially announced the addition of another Serbian player, Stefan Peno.
Raduljica didn’t get much playing time in the red and white jersey last season. He came to the team to expand the rotation and had some opportunities when the team was led by Vladimir Jovanovic.
When the young coach left the club and Dusko Ivanovic took his place, the Serbian center was usually not even in contention for a spot on the team.
Due to these circumstances, it was only logical for Raduljica to leave Zvezda and look for a new destination.
During the past season, Raduljica averaged 3.4 points in the ABA League, while in the EuroLeague, he averaged one point.
He delivered his best performances while playing for the Serbian national team, culminating with the 2016 Olympic Games. After that, his career started to decline, and he had engagements in Asia.
It was in 2016 when the Serbian national team, known as the “Eagles,” last participated in the biggest basketball competition in the world. This streak will come to an end next year, as Serbia secured a spot in the FIBA World Cup semifinals and qualified for the 2024 Paris Olympics with victories over Canada and the United States.
