OG Anunoby will sign a new, five year deal, which will keep him with the New York Knicks, as reported by Adrian Wojnarowski.
Anunoby is set to sign a 5-year, $212.5 million contract that includes a player option and a trade kicker, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported.
OG Anunoby averaged 14.7 points and 4.2 rebounds in 50 games last season. He officially entered free agency a couple of days ago and it was reported that many teams were interested in his services.
He was acquired by New York Knicks from the Toronto Raptors in early 2024 for RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley.
Anunoby played 33 games for the Knicks, who went 2-6 with him on the floor. He also sat numerous games due to injuries. Mainly, he was out of the playoffs due to a left hamstring injury. The Knicks are making moves this offseason. They acquired Mikal Bridges from the Brooklyn Nets and have reunited most of the Villanova 2016 NCAA Championship winning team.
