Ognjen Jaramaz, in an interview with Sport Klub, shared expectations ahead of the 10th round of the EuroLeague, where Partizan is an away team against Anadolu Efes.
The Serbian basketball player emphasizes that the black-and-white team hopes for a win in Istanbul despite the challenges with injured players.
“It’s a tough visit to Istanbul, Anadolu Efes is a fantastic team. We’re trying to improve the things we need to, and there are quite a few. We want to enter the game as prepared as possible and hope for a win,” said Ognjen Jaramaz, adding:
“The absence of Kevin Punter is significant, Uros Trifunovic means a lot to us, and Aleksa Avramovic got injured. We are all ready to compensate for that position, P.J. Dozier and Mateusz Ponitka can cover it. We have to pull together as a team in that sense.“
Jaramaz also spoke about the challenges he faced upon returning to Partizan.
“The beginning was not easy, I feel better now, but it can and must be better. I’m glad I overcame the period when I practically didn’t run during the summer. The first month was challenging and awkward, but now it’s really better, and I believe everything will go as it should. I try to do the little things as well as I can, contribute to defense…“
The “Black and White” basketball player emphasizes the need for his team to improve in rebounding.
“As a team, we can improve a lot in terms of rebounding, especially on the defensive end, where opponents take away a lot of balls from us.“
