Studentski centar has emerged as the most pleasant surprise of the tournament. Led by coach Andrej Zakelj, the team delivered two outstanding performances. They first easily defeated FMP and then outperformed BuduΔnost in the semifinals.
This final presents an opportunity for Partizan to win their second ABA Super Cup trophy. They claimed their first in 2019 in Zagreb, under the guidance of coach Andrea Trinchieri. Ognjen Jaramaz, a Serbian basketball player and a member of that championship-winning team, shared his expectations with “Partizan TV” ahead of the showdown with Studentski centar.
“The ABA Super Cup we won in 2019 was the first trophy of that season, which turned out to be excellent. It’s the season where the coronavirus halted further games. It will remain in my memory as a wonderful year we had,” Jaramaz reminisced.
Regarding the final against Studentski centar, Jaramaz acknowledged their strength and solid performances. “Studentski centar is a very good team, showing excellent play in this tournament and last season. We expect a physically demanding game, and I hope for a victory and another trophy,” Jaramaz concluded.
