Olympiacos is going through a challenging period, but they secured a convincing win against PAOK with a score of 77-62 in the Greek Basket League Round 16.
PAOK had the lead during a low-quality first quarter. However, from then on, there was only one team on the court. Olympiacos scored 30 points in the second quarter, establishing a lead that was insurmountable for the Thessalonians. The halftime score was 42-29.
After the break, Georgios Bartzokas‘ team continued in the same rhythm, further extending their lead. Particularly noteworthy was an 11-0 run towards the end of the third quarter. In the final quarter, they relaxed a bit, but the lead was significant enough for a triumphant win.
Alec Peters was once again the driving force for Olympiacos, recording a double-double with 21 points and 10 rebounds. He was closely followed by Ignas Brazdeikis with 17 points. On the other side, Marques Townes stood out as the sole standout with 14 points.
In other Greek league games today, Lavrio defeated Promitheas 89-84. Peristeri dominated Maroussi, led by Miroslav Raduljica, with a score of 95-72. AEK kicked off the era of Ilias Zouros with a triumph over Karditsa, winning 95-86.
