Olympiacos convincingly defeated Apollon Patras with a score of 93;63 and temporarily climbed to the top spot in the Greek league.
The defending champion started the match excellently. With their characteristic defense, they allowed the hosts only nine points in the first quarter and took a lead of 28-9 after the first ten minutes.
The second quarter belonged more to the underdog. They scored as many as 26 points in this period of the game, but the Red-Whites still managed to secure a comfortable lead of 46:35 at halftime.
After a 15-minute break, the momentum was again on the side of Georgios Bartzokas’ team. They regained their rhythm after the third quarter and comfortably secured their 21st victory in the championship.
Captain Kostas Papanikolaou was the top scorer for Olympiacos, contributing 16 points. He was closely followed by Isiah Canaan with 15 points. On the other side, several players scored over 10 points. Chad Brown scored 17 points, while Trevor Blondin added 12.
Marousi, where Miroslav Raduljica plays, lost to Kolossos with a score of 89:84. The Serbian center had a quiet game by his standards, scoring “only” seven points.
