Pablo Laso, the coach of Bayern, previewed the 27th round EuroLeague game in which his team hosts Crvena Zvezda.
During the three-week EuroLeague break, Bayern, like Crvena Zvezda, added a trophy from the national Cup to their collection. Pablo Laso, the coach of Bayern, reflected on the first encounter of the season in Belgrade, which Crvena Zvezda won.
“We had the opportunity to defeat Crvena Zvezda in the first game, but we didn’t capitalize on it. We want to be better at home to remain competitive for as long as possible,” said the Bayern coach.
The team from Munich currently sits at 15th place in the EuroLeague table with a record of 11 wins and 15 losses, still holding on to hopes of reaching the play-in. On the other hand, the team from Belgrade has one less win and one more loss.
“To defeat a team like Crvena Zvezda, we need to excel in all aspects. They have strong scorers and power under the basket with Joel Bolomboy, Luka Mitrovic, and Freddie Gillespie – there will certainly be a battle there.
However, Devin Booker showed against Gottingen that he has returned to the desired form after his injury. I hope the whole team is ready for this tough game on Friday,” concluded Pablo Laso.
Crvena Zvezda will be without Milos Teodosic, who is not traveling to Munich. The Bayern – Crvena Zvezda game is scheduled to start at 8:30 PM.
