Kyle Guy and Panathinaikos are set to part ways soon, according to information from well-informed Greek site SDNA.
As reported by this portal, the official termination of the contract is expected in the coming hours. Various options were considered, but it seems that everything is pointing towards the fact that the outstanding shooter will soon be a former player of the ‘Greens.’
In the same report, it is mentioned that in the past few days, he had an offer from Tenerife, and it is possible that this could be the best option for the continuation of his career. In the Liga Endesa, he enjoys a good reputation after an impressive season last year with Joventut.
In the EuroLeague, in eight played games, he averaged 4.0 points, 0.9 rebounds, and 0.4 assists, all in just ten minutes on the court. In the Greek league, his performance was slightly better, averaging around six points while playing an average of 22 minutes per game.
As addition to Panathinaikos and Joventut, Kyle Guy has played for various NBA teams in his career, starting at the University of Virginia. At this prestigious college, he won the NCAA league championship in 2019. He played for the Sacramento Kings and the Miami Heat, and a significant part of his career was also spent in the developmental G League.
