Panathinaikos remained undefeated after the tenth round of the Greek Basket League. Despite playing without the absent Mathias Lessort, they defeated PAOK 97-85.
PAOK had a better start to the game, establishing a lead of 22-17 with excellent play in the opening ten minutes. The guests continued their strong performance in the second quarter, at one point holding a nine-point advantage. However, by the end of the first half, the home team made a comeback and equalized.
With a 52-47 lead, Panathinaikos went on a 14-3 run, building a 16-point advantage. By the end of the third quarter, the guests reduced the rival’s lead to 74-62. In the final ten minutes, the Greek vice-champion maintained the lead, securing the win.
Kendrick Nunn led his team to win with 21 points, while Justin Alston on the opposing side had 18 points.
In an interesting game, Aris defeated Peristeri 81-73.
The home team performed well in the first quarter, ending with a six-point lead. In the second period, the team from Thessaloniki had a double-digit advantage and went into halftime with a seven-point lead. Aris continued to play better in the second half, building a 13-point lead. Peristeri only managed to reduce the deficit in the final moments of the game.
Roberto Galinat led the home team to win with 18 points, while on the other side, Joe Ragland was the top performer with 15 points and ten assists, and Nemanja Dangubic contributed with 11 points.
