The Los Angeles Lakers suffered another defeat, this time against the Memphis Grizzlies.
The crisis in Los Angeles continues. It seemed that Darwin Ham’s team would finally break their bad streak, but that didn’t happen. The Lakers scored 38 points in the first quarter, played brilliantly, and went to the first break with a nine-point lead. However, the offense faltered already in the second quarter, and Memphis managed to come back and go into halftime trailing by just one point.
In the third quarter, we saw an absolute tie, and the score was 94-94 after 36 minutes of play. Then came a complete collapse of the home team. Only 19 points scored in the last quarter, while Memphis scored as many as 33, with a huge number of three-pointers (a total of 23 in the game). This was also the fourth consecutive loss for the Lakers.
The winning team was led by Jaren Jackson Jr., who scored 31 points, while Marcus Smart added 29 (eight three-pointers). On the other side, not even another excellent performance by LeBron James, who scored 32 points, was enough.
