Paris convincingly defeats Roanne on their home court by 90:61 in the 33rd round of the LNB Pro A.
The EuroCup champion settled the question of the winner already in the first half. Parisians played brilliantly and held a lead of 50:31 after 20 minutes of play. They controlled the game without any trouble and secured an easy and convincing win. What’s interesting is that Tuomas Iisalo’s team won each of the four quarters.
The top scorers for the winning team were Nadir Hifi and TJ Shorts with 16 points each, followed by former Partizan player, Bandja Sy, with 11 points. In the visiting team, Sekou Doumbouya stood out with 16 points, while Kellan Grady had 12.
With this win, Paris officially secured the second place at the end of the regular season, as they have two fewer losses than Asvel and Bourg with one round to go. On the other hand, Roanne has definitively ended their campaign in the LNB Pro A today, as after this defeat, they no longer have any theoretical chance of avoiding relegation.
It’s incredible that this is Paris’s 24th consecutive win in all competitions. In the last round, Paris will visit Le Portel, while Roanne will host Asvel.
