Paris inflicted another defeat on Asvel. In the 16th round of the LNB Pro A, the capital team defeated the EuroLeague squad with a score of 92-86.
There was intense competition during the first quarter, and despite the home team having an advantage, Asvel led 24-22 after ten minutes. In the second period, Paris showed much better gameplay. With an excellent finish to the first half, they went into halftime with a lead of 50-40.
At the start of the second half, Paris had a 20-point lead. However, Asvel did not give up. In the final quarter, they made a comeback, taking the lead 77-76. Nevertheless, with better play in the closing moments of the game, the home team secured the win.
Tyson Ward led his team to triumph with 20 points, while Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot led the guests with 17 points.
Sasa Obradovic’s Monaco defeated Le Portel 74-67 on the road.
The home team had a better start and led throughout the entire first half. However, towards the end of the second quarter, Monaco made a comeback and went into halftime with a one-point lead.
There was intense competition during the third period, after which the guests maintained a minimal lead. In the middle of the last quarter, Obradovic’s team turned the tide, gained a seven-point advantage, and secured the win.
Elie Okobo led his team to win with 16 points, while Phiandrius Fleming on the other side had 14 points.
Nemanja Nenadic had an excellent day as he led his Limoges to win against Nancy with a score of 75-67. The Serbian basketball player finished the game with 15 points, while Danilo Nikolic added 13. Tyren Johnson scored 21 points on the opposing side.
