After a convincing victory against Krka in Novo Mesto in the second round of the regional competition, Partizan has set a new record in the ABA League.
Namely, this achievement marks the best start to the competition, as evidenced by two extremely convincing wins. In the first round of the “Adriatic caravan,” Partizan outplayed Mornar with a score of 110:78. Then, in Novo Mesto, they defeated Krka by an impressive 40-point margin (96:56).
In this manner, they have a point difference of plus 72 after the first two rounds, surpassing the feat of their “eternal” rivals from the 2020/2021 season. Crvena zvezda had achieved victories with a 38 and 31-point difference in the first two rounds, totaling plus 69 points after two games.
The top scorer for Partizan was Aleksa Avramovic with 15 points and six rebounds. P.J. Dozier finished with 11 points, and Balsa Koprivica reached double figures with 12 points. Interestingly, Alen Smailagic, who spent 11 minutes on the court, didn’t make it onto the score sheet for the black-and-whites. Jairus Hamilton stood out for Krka, contributing 16 points, the same as Miha Cerkvenik.
In the next round of the ABA League, Krka will face Buducnost in Podgorica, while Partizan will host Cibona.
