Partizan issued an official statement aftet the interruption of Game 2 of the Serbian Super League finals against Crvena Zvezda.

The second game of the Serbian Superleague finals between Partizan and Crvena Zvezda was interrupted with 7.55 seconds remaining in the third quarter, with the score at 57:45 in favor of the black-and-whites. The chief referee stopped the game due to the crowd insulting Vesna Covic, marking the first time in our basketball history that a game was stopped due to verbal misconduct. Following the interruption, the Crvena Zvezda team withdrew to the locker room.
After a request to clear the arena, the black-and-white team waited on the court for the game to resume, only for the official representatives of Partizan to be informed by the referees about the suspension and the game’s continuation in 24 hours. The Partizan team then withdrew to the locker room, and the players were dismissed. When the referees and Crvena Zvezda players suddenly appeared on the court more than an hour after the interruption, Partizan’s players had already headed home.
Crvena Zvezda, the referees, and the delegate thus awarded the national champion title to Crvena Zvezda, Partizan does not wish to participate in such a scandal.”
The game was interrupted at the score of 57:45 for the black and whites. There was a little less then eight minutes on the clock left in the third quater
