Partizan, playing in front of a record number of fans at the “Stark Arena” (23,021), defeated Mega by 112:80 in the ABA League 17th round.
The game began with a tribute to Dejan Milojevic, and from the first minute, the play was highly efficient. Mega put up a strong fight against the black-and-white team during the first quarter. However, the second quarter turned into a shooting spectacle, led by James Nunnally of Partizan, who concluded the period with his seventh three-pointer.
The third quarter brought no difference, as Partizan continued its dominance on all fronts and comfortably awaited the fourth quarter with a substantial lead. After that, there was no comeback for Mega, so the host triumphed without any drama.
Nunnally with 24 points (8/15 from three-point range) and Frank Kaminsky with 14 points led Partizan to victory. Uros Plavsic was the top scorer for Mega with 26 points.
In the next round, Partizan will be visiting Crvena Zvezda, while Mega will host Buducnost.
