In the fourth round of the premier European competition, Partizan will visit Olympiacos in Piraeus, and the Red-Whites have been left without the assistance of two players.
According to the latest information from Greece, as reported by “BasketNews,” Luke Sikma and Ignas Brazdeikis will not play against the Belgrade team.
After three rounds of play, both teams have an identical record. Indeed, Partizan and Olympiacos have each secured one win and suffered two losses. The Black and Whites defeated Asvel but lost games to Maccabi and Barcelona.
On the other hand, Olympiacos began the EuroLeague season by defeating Panathinaikos in overtime. Subsequently, they were defeated by Barcelona and Milano in the ‘fashion capital.
“We feel good ahead of the duel with Olympiacos, but we can’t dwell on the previous games because we don’t have time. There isn’t even 48 hours between the two matches. We have to enter the game against Olympiacos with full energy – not thinking about the past, but correcting the things that led to our losses in the previous matches. It’s crucial that we stay fully focused. Olympiacos is a very experienced team, and they play well together,” said Balsa Koprivica. He continued to talk about the opponent:
“In the games we lost, the biggest problem was our defense. It was the case against Barcelona and Maccabi Tel Aviv. Defense and allowing offensive rebounds to the opponent – those are the two keys for us to beat any team we play against. We need a lot of energy from the younger players as well.”
