Petar Mijovic spoke to the club’s website ahead of the third round of the ABA League, where Buducnost will host Krka from Novo Mesto.
In the previous stages of the regional competition, the Podgorica team has secured two wins, while Krka holds a 1-1 record.
“It’s a very risky game for us because we spent the whole day traveling yesterday, and this is our first practice and the only real preparation for the match against Krka. Krka is a team that showed in the first round that they can play, they have their ambitions, and they’ve displayed their quality with a victory over FMP on the road. In the second round, they were without two players from their starting five, and they weren’t up to their usual level against Partizan, but certainly, that result should not deceive us.
In these circumstances, we must prepare as best as we can and not allow Krka to threaten us at any moment. It will definitely be a demanding match, a game we didn’t have much time to prepare for due to our commitments in the EuroCup. Nevertheless, there’s no room for error. I believe that from the very beginning, we have to show the desire and motivation to keep the points in Podgorica,” said Petar Mijovic.
The match is scheduled for Saturday, October 14th, starting at 7:00 PM, and it will be played at the “Moraca” arena.
