The Philadelphia 76ers are preparing to offer Joel Embiid a 3-year contract extension valued at $193.5 million, aiming to secure their star player for several more years.
According to Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer, the Sixers can present the extension to Joel Embiid starting July 18. Without the extension, Embiid is set to earn $106.6 million over the next two seasons, with a player option for $59 million for the 2026-27 season.
Embiid’s accolades include being a two-time scoring champion, five-time All-NBA selection, three-time All-Defensive pick, three-time Eastern Conference Player of the Month, and a 12-time Player of the Week.
This NBA season, despite being limited to 39 games due to a torn lateral meniscus in his left knee, Embiid averaged 34.7 points, 11.0 rebounds, 5.6 assists, 1.2 steals, and 1.7 blocks.
